Blue Book Prices

KBB

Kelley Blue Book (KBB) is what everyone means when they say “Blue Book”.  However the car dealers look at NADA Guides.  What’s the difference?  Well what’s the difference between a GM and a Ford?  It’s in the eye of the beholder.  You, however, must look at both KBB and NADA to come up with a price.

These two guides are handy to have with you as you run around looking at used cars.  No matter what the guides say remember that you, the buyer, determine the actual sales price.  The seller can ask whatever they want and the Blue Books give ballpark estimates, but you, the buyer, have the money and decide what the car is worth.

KBB website

Click KBB and lets go to their website and see what we can learn.  Click the “Used Car” section and you’ll see a number of things you can search for.  Notice that you need my “Car Cloud” to get an idea of where your search begins.

KBB gets the car prices from AutoTrader.com.  So why go to the KBB website – just go to AutoTrader.com for used car prices.
