Today Honda introduced their Cash for Clunkers Program. Click here for details. Here are the requirements to qualify for a Honda:
- The trade in must be less than 25 years old
- The trade in must have 18 mpg or less according to the latest EPA ratings
- The trade’s title must be brought in and in your name
- The trade in must be insured for the past year
- The trade in must be in drivable condition
The rebate is for either $3,500 or $4,500 depending on many factors – the website will instantly tell you if you qualify and what the rebate is. The rebate is instant if you bring in the following paperwork:
- Title to your car and your name on that title
- Proof of insurance for the past year and current
- DMV paperwork for inspections
