Cash for Clunkers
Assuming that this federal grant is still available here is Nissan’s version of the Cash for Clunkers program.
Go to Nissan’s website and read all the fine print which says:
- The clunker must be in drivable condition
- The clunker must have a “new” combined city/highway 18 mpg
- The clunker must be less than 25 years old
- The clunker must have been registered in your name for the past year and that includes insurance and DMV documents – all saying you were the owner for the past year
There is a half a page of small print disclaimers – basically you need to drop by and find out if the program is still in effect, you qualify, and the government put some money in the program today.
